Arches and Columns
After Gibraltar, our next stop on the cruise was Casablanca, Morocco. This is one of the many corridors at Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and the 7th largest in the world, finally completed in 1993 after 6000 Moroccan artisans and craftsmen labored for seven years. Part of it is built on a platform over the Atlantic Ocean, and can hold 25,000 people inside and over 80,000 in the courtyards and squares around it.
