Thank you ladies. This was a beautiful garden statue in Oregon. I took this shot last October and have been waiting to use it. I'm just sorry it was over my Daddy's passing but I guess it was meant to be, so here it is! :)

I was just thinking about something Albert Einstein is supposed to have said:
"Creativity is intelligence having fun".

But maybe he forgot that creativity is also one of the best ways to express feelings.

I know how precious your Dad was to you and how much you loved him. And this is a wonderful way of showing your love for him. And I'm sure he's very very proud of you.

I LOVE it, Laura-Lou! And I also like the pic of your Dad in healthier times, a pic that I bet is really cherished! You guys, Thank You so much. Each one of your visits has meant so much to me. It wont be long until the Memorial. I might not be here for a while. I will have to travel to get there.

Wow! This is so beautifully put together, Laura! It tells the wonderful story of a daughter and her beloved father ... and the closeness they will always share! He once used his creativity to tell fascinating tales ... you use yours to create beautiful images like this one! Lorna, you are so right. I was the passenger as we were driving by some beautiful mountains today and I so totally felt my Dad with me. It was beautiful. I felt he was looking at the scenery through my eyes and really at peace enjoying it all. Taking it in. Happy for me to be living near so many gorgeous places. Western Canada and Western USA are so pretty. Truly Gods Country! :)

Thank you Ann, Ellen and Chris. :) Drove part way down to the Memorial (About a third of the way) and had to wait there. The OKAY never came from the Veterans Administration because their computers had been down, so the memorial has been postponed until later. I will fly down after the date has been set.

Dear Laura, I'm so sorry for your loss and I pray that you and your family have a joyous healing! I was were you are almost 3 years ago with my dad and I still miss him but my hubby and I laugh when we think of him and how something someone does or says reminds us of him! Take care, Joannie

Joannie, I know what you mean. It is very cold here at the moment & yesterday when at the shops Tony saw a bloke getting around bare-footed & said to me while laughing, he thought of my Dad who would have done the same. The bloke turned out to be the one Dad had sold our house to in 1955. Keep smiling & keep those laughs coming both of you=^..^=

Two very special ladies bringing a smile to my heart. Lisa I have this strange feeling that my Dad saw this. Just a hunch. :)

Kim, speaking of celebrations of life, we kids have been asked to tell a story or more of Dads life at his memorial. I don't think I can do it. It would be too hard for me to speak...I hope I have the courage to because I do have so many stories I could share of what a great father I had.
