aperture - f 5.6, shutter - 1/125, lens 50mm, location- at the San Diego Wildlife Park - I have a year's membership there! I did a little background PS work- just added some grain and lighting effects. The rest is right our of the camera. No tripod used.

Thank you Deborah. This bird has such expressive qualities. Unlike other birds of prey, you can actually pet and scratch this guys head. He almost goes into a trance as he lifts his head feathers and starts to look like Croucho Marks. It really is quite comical! -G

Thank you Claudia and Dolores - Dolores it is so interesting that this particular photo was picked, since it was picked apart on photoblink. I feel betterphoto has a better view of photography on an artistic basis as opposed to just technical sharpness, etc. A tripod might of gotten me a sharper image here, but it is very nice that betterphoto noticed the artistic merit.
