this cactus bloom can measure up to 12 inches in diameter. It is a show stopper, especially when the plant has dozens of these flowers. And the fragrance is divine. Sadly the fragrance and the bloom only lasts a day. It shows the beauty of desert life and just how fragile it is.

  Next Spring if you would like to come to photograph in my garden drop me a line.....usually they bloom anywhere from late March through June....but then judging by your portfolio...you really know about cactus & their blooms too.....nice to find a kindred spirit of the cactus world! (I live in Sun City West, AZ)
