I'm blown away by the wonderful clarity and excellent details in this action shot. Everything is just perfect, composition and exposure. Keeping in mind that it's a moving object you're dealing with, makes it even more impressive! Congratulations on your POTD! We'll probably see this image again!

Thanks so much everyone and BP! I used Aperture priorty for shutter and I use my 3D focus tracking mode with Lock on and Continuous focus mode for the shot Meghan!

Sorry Meghan. That would be - 3D Color matrix metering II with the D300. Or full evaluative I guess. No spot or center weighted if thats what you mean!!

Yes it does have a bit of HDR Meghan. I did a psuedo HDR using one image and Photomatix software.
