Sunset at the Rocky Ledge
This rocky ledge at Tseriadun is one of my favorite spots to watch a sunset, when the tides and surf allow it. The surf spray sparkles in the golden sunlight, and the tide pools reflect both the clouds and the sea spray as it explodes upward. The on-shore sea breeze leaves a taste of the sea on the lips and a damp chill on the cheek. The roar of the crashing waves is somehow both calming and envigorating, and the reverberation of those waves underfoot, too, serve as a reminder that this is a wild and wonderful place!Quote of the Day: Sometimes… when it's a good surf, I go out there, and I don't feel like it's a bad world. ~ Kary Mullis Nikon D700, 20 mm f/2.8D Lens @ f/14, 1/800 second exposure. ISO 400. (1/27/2012, 5:00 PM. Tseriadun State Park, Port Orford, Oregon USA)
