THE LILY near Albany Western Australia.
The Lily Windmill is an authentic 16th Century design brick "ground-sail" mill. The five story full size Dutch Windmill, with its 22 Ton cap and a sail length of 24.6 meters, is one of the largest traditional windmills ever built in Australia.The Lily Windmill is the only operational flour producing windmill on mainland Australia.

When Australiana built this windmill, Avril, they clearly constructed it with great care and attention to detail. The fact that it's a working windmill adds a great back story to its beauty. Love those bricks!

Congratulations on this one. Thanks for entering it on BP, just looked it up, very interesting. Stacey (our daughter) & Shane went to Holland for a week in July to have a look where my family came from & didn't see a Windmill. We'll all have to come over to WA one of thesse days for a look.
