I have never seen a rattler in the wild, I bet it would give you a start.
Love the image of the mushrooms,quite a find, and hubby did a great job capturing the rattler.

One thing about this snake he will usually let you know you are too close and he is unhappy about it.

That is tender loving care. I love the way the one is snuggled against the bigger one and the way the hood of the bigger one forms like a protective umbrella over the little one. Fantastic find, photographed with outstanding colors and textures.

Super captures!! I would of ran!! I know widows and scorpions,rattlers, and all kinds of creepy critters are in the desert, but thank goodness I never have seen any and really hope I never do!! I don't like to think about them..lol

Perfect title, Tammy...and great capture!
Wow...that snake is SCARY and huge!!! We also live in the woods and they are around (rattlers), but so far I have only seen a copperhead...yikes...I wouldn't even garden until my husband went though the weeds with a long stick each time...and that was after 2 years!! :)
