Good Morning Mare, Michelle, Steve, Jeff, Ron, Cassie and Monnie! I giggled as I wrote out the description thinking of Jules Vernon...And yet I did take this photo with my zoom. What do you make of it??? Thank you all very much! I am happy you liked this and am happy to be home again! HA! More pictures to come this week. Today I will be busy unpacking and then I will preen and wade in the vast images on my breaks. :))) Ron, it felt so great standing there. It was a treat knowing we all staked the same flag by shooting in the same spots. We went to Peyto, too! Wait to see! -Laura :)

Heyyy, I believed the story, SSSCWLala! The title is perfect for this breathtaking image and the fog sure does give the mountain a sense of mystery. And that color!!! Oh, I am drifting right into your story book now, Sister. I love that blue. P.S. We never made it to Bow Lake. I sure wish we had.

Hi SSister! I bet it was foggy the day you drove to Peyto Lake. It had to be. Do you know why? THIS LAKE is RIGHT on the highway only about 3K's south of the turn off. You can't miss it. (Unless it's foggy! Lol!) It was foggy on this day, too, but we lucked out and could see the lake. This was actually taken from a turn out right on the road. A bunch of us were parked there clicking away. I am so sorry you didn't see it. I remember that day for you and you'd missed your exit and had to back track in the rain. MAYBE you were holding up a MAP when you passed this one??? HeeHee! Glad you stopped in to read my story. Do you know who Jules Vernon is? SSSCWLala

It is indeed an enchanting lake and your capture and presentation enhance the mysterious feel of this breath-taking place. Just an idea, this could the setting and new beginning where the LOTR movie left off. Welcome back Laura!

Hi Paddy, REynaldo, SSSWWKiki, and Tam-tam!! :) Thanks for your wonderful comments! Paddy, It's sure good to be back! So happy you all like this one. Reynaldo, what does LOTR stand for??? SSSKiki I meant to say Jules Verne. Sorry! He was a very famous writer that wrote about futuristic adventures. Look what THIS one was called! HA! Thanks Tammy. It's our claim to fame up here. The beautiful mineral "flour" in the lakes that cause this color and many other shades. Swanee, Laura, SSSLala and Loo-loo :D

Here is a picture of him. As you san see, he lived "Back in the day"... He wrote about submarines and airplanes and many things that hadn't even been invented yet. He was a brilliant man and writer. I bet Brother Leif will have heard of him, SSSWWKiki, since he is a Famous Author, too!!! :) YVOSSSCWLaura :)

Beautiful mood crated by the lake, the mountain and of course your story. We are coming through Calgary in late August on our way to the Okanagan. I will wave at you as we drive by. Maybe one day when I visit my son in Calgary we could meet for coffee.
