Wow! Marvelous capture of this Costa Rican Hummingbird, TED! Exquisite clarity, color, and detail and marvelous soft BG! Sorry I've been so absent recently: out-of-town twice, bad back, followed by a critical work deadline, and now computer problems!! But I just went to your gallery to see all your Costa Rica shots - they are fabulous, particularly the birds! And I see you got a Quetzal! Looks like you had a terrific trip! Anyway, Huge Congrats on this superb Finalist!

Congratulations on this gorgeous hummingbird, Ted! You certainly got some beautiful captures from Costa Rica!

(Thanks for your comment on my little blue heron. You know, I went back to check the original raw image and it is pretty true to the blue. I lightened a bit but I think it was the time of year and maybe the lighting hit it. I captured it in February)
