Sally, a gorgeous-natured rough coat Jack Russell Terrier, for many years belonged to one of our neighbours across the road. Sadly, she is no longer with us, but she used to visit us (and other neighbours!) very regularly, and treated us all as though she owned us - lol! ;o) Not now having had a dog of our own for many years we loved having her company...and thankfully, over the years, we captured many wonderful images and portraits of our beautiful doggie friend! Captured mid-afternoon, in late spring, on the 13th of November 2006... category: ~ Animals ~

What a beautiful portrait, so sharp with wonderful details. I wish I was able to capture more portraits of Becca, my beloved German Shorthair pointer when she was alive. I have just a couple portraits, but she is always in my heart and on my mind. Now, I've adopted the backyard wildlife, whom I feed, photograph, and worry about when they are injured. It's good to share the love in your heart with animals, who give back so much. A thought you've found as well.
