Finalist!
BetterPhoto: Over 17000 photos were entered. That makes this finalist especially sweet.

Re-visited as I am learning more masking techniques, this time with selective lightening and darkening.

What a surprise!
Charlotte Lowrie said she had high hopes for this image when I took it for her camera raw class, but I didn't know what to do with it until I took Lewis Kemper's class. Looks like I'm improving ...finally!

Thank you both for your comments!

Perhaps, as I learn more of Lewis' techniques, I'll be able to do more with this image.

Thank you all for your comments --they are so welcome and uplifting.

Thank you, Nikki. I took this for two classes, but one instructor wanted it taken without a flash because he said one can always tell when a flash is used.

I find that a flash makes the colors sparkle, something I learned a long time ago. This flash did reflect in the droplets of dew and created a repeat in every droplet. Perhaps, I should have bounced the light onto white foam core to light the flower.
