Feathers blowing in the wind tell the tale of a battle lost for one Male Cardinal.

OMG, amazing capture Julie, almost a surreal feeling to it. Winner in my book. Can't be a happy ending for the male Cardinal.

Just gorgeous, Julie, but I feel so sad about that cardinal! I'll hope he made it out okay, just minus several feathers!

Thank you Gord, Tammy, and Ron. This is hands down the oddest thing I've ever submitted. When feeding the birds, you feed the predators also. Looking at the prints, a cat won this meal. I just found a certain gracefulness to the remaining feathers.

Such beautiful light and wonderfully soft colors in this amazing (but sad ending for the cardinal) abstract...great flow and movement captured here, as well...a real beauty of a capture, Ms. J! I'm hoping (like Monnie) the cardinal was a bit more cagey than the cat!!
