Thank you Diane, Lori and Jim for the nice comments. I think that cropping the photo helps to show the character of Whiley (and he is a real character). I also blurred the background a little, sharpened the facial features and then added a little saturation to the eye colour to bring attention to the eyes. It made a big difference when comparing the before and after.
