Every month, with our camera in hand, we go out and find what we hope will be the “winning photo.”
Those of us that don’t get recognized, just continue to search for that special image, until one day the Congratulations come pouring in from some of the best artist and friends anyone could image.

WOW, Heather, Love it, Love it, Love it! A simply marvelous image, both abstract and very real. I've always wanted to capture something like it, but never had the opportunity. Yes Merna, its a great honor when an image gets the recognition of the judges. I was pleased and surprised with this one.Thanks for your comment Patricia. I'm so glad you like this photo. Wow Rona, thanks for the enthusiasm you express for my image. This IS different for me, but the scene caught my eye and I just had to linger long enough to get some photos while the rest of my birding group continued on in search of shore birds. The day was overcast but still and the long sinewy reeds were perfectly reflected on the mirrored surface.
The RAW image was under-whelming, but with the edit, it suddenly popped and I was thrilled with the results.
I'm so glad you like this, and yes....I will continue to search out future images that are a little 'different' for me.
