Alfalfa is widely grown throughout the world as forage for cattle, and is most often harvested as hay, but can also be made into silage, grazed, or fed as green-chop. Alfalfa has the highest feeding value of all common hay crops and when grown on soils where it is well-adapted, alfalfa is the highest yielding forage plant and can grow up to 20 years.

We grow alfalfa here in Ohio, too, but the background isn't nearly as snazzy as this, Denny! Fabulous colors and composition!

Gorgeous photo with outstanding dof and foreground to background interest, Denny. There's just a wisp of a low-lying cloud, and I love that light on the hills. Very crisp and vastly pleasing.
