I agree with everyone, Judy ... this is such an awesome image! In fact, I think this would be a terrific shot for BetterPhoto's monthly Where in the World quiz.

So please don't give it away, Judy ... let's see if anyone can come up with the correct answer! I'll check back in several days to see how things are going.

Again, Judy, congrats on your excellent photo. And, for everyone else, have fun guessing where this scene can be found!

Wow, Fortunately and Unfortunately I've seen a few places that look like this! (Fortunately because I've seen so many beautiful places!) Washington State looks like this East of Seattle, Southern Idaho south of I-84 looks like this, Eastern Oregon near the Blue mountains, Parts of Colorado, etc.

I'll put Eastern Oregon since that's it's closest to home!

Very beautiful pic whereever it is!!!

My guess would be Montana. I'm going to be really ashamed if it's Wyoming, but this doesn't look familiar.
Still love the picture though :o)

Love this shot, Judy. Colorado is too obvious. I'm going for Western Ontario, Canada.

I agree with everyone on the beauty in this image. I am going with Washington State and I am going even further out on a limb and say it's west of Seattle...:) Where ever it is, it is beautiful country!

Where in the World: My thoughts are either Montana or Wyoming--Montana came first to mind. I also thought of British Columbia. I've been through all three areas at times when the hay looked just like this, and the mountains in the distance could be any of those three.

That is beautiful. I'll guess somewhere near Calgary (Alberta, Canada), on the way to the Kananaskas. Saw similar scenery there before.

Hi again! Excellent guesses, everyone, and thanks so much for taking part in BetterPhoto's Where in the World quiz! And for all of you who said Colorado (specifically, the mountains of northern Colorado, south of Walden) ... well, you are absolutely correct.

Judy, thanks too for confirming the answer. Again, this is such a wonderful image ... keep up the fine work!

I was going to say Northern Colorado. I live in Longmont, CO and this scenery is very familiar, especially when I drive North towards Fort Collins and Wyoming. I recently drove near where this shot was taken on Memorial Day and the scenery was very much like this. Maybe that is why the picture was bugging me. I knew where it was but couldn't place it. Nice shot!
