"A Boring Lathe" - a machine now retired it's historical surroundings of Cockatoo Island - the largest island in Sydney Harbour and Australia's most unusual urban park. A former prison and shipyard, it retains many remnants from its past. Its convict-built prison buildings have been nominated for World Heritage listing.

  Barbara, there's obviously PLENTY of wonderful old machinery (AND other things!) to photograph on Cockatoo Island...and you've captured this old lathe just superbly, my friend!! The tones, interest, light, details, pov and composition here all are excellent!! :o)
