Ruth the elephant at the Milwaukee County Zoo gained a bit of publicity last year when she fell in the moat surrounding her enclosure. Eventually she was able to climb out. She is 29 years old. ISO 800, F8, S 1/500.

Jane- I did hear about that. Its been a few years since I been over to that zoo. I do miss my Wisconsin. What a fantastic head on shot you got here. I love the right in your face look. You did such a fantastic job of capturing the textures of the skin and the ripples of the trunk. Such a beauty girl.
