Very nice in black and white, Jeff. The rotated presentation -- or maybe your captured it "sideways" as I know they tend to bend in all directions -- is very effective.

I do like them both, but the B&W appeals to me too. Because it focuses on form, and when one first looks, the form is ambiguous and does remind one of a banana in the midst of being peeled as well as a flower unfolding.

Jeff- I love what you have done here my friend. Simple, elegant, pure beauty. Outstanding composition, love the black and white of the picture. Simplicity makes it so apeeling as your title suggest.
