Barker Dam - Joshua Tree National Park
After - Good subject with great light makes all the difference. It took some time for me to grasp this. After a few lessons with BetterPhoto, reading books and looking at professional photos, I'm understanding how important "seeing the light" is. Also slowing down and moving in closer to achieve a better composition. Now knowing this, I practically never photograph scenics outside the "Magic Hour" unless its a cloudy or overcast day.
