Hey there. Thank you so much for your responses...what a surprise!
To answer Joesph comment on lighting, I used I red filter on an sunny day in my front yard...seriously, it was that simple. These are my brother's hands...it was sort of a tribute to him because he has such a passion about working on cars....the hands tell it all! Thank you, Sadrea for your comments...if you want to view other shots I have done you can look me up on www.junephoto.com...the site is not done, but it is a start. Thanks again! JD June

I once asked an aspiring photographer what makes one hopeful stand out from all the others. “They have the ability to capture an image that evokes emotion from its viewers”, she said.

~ I believe that the artist behind this image has proven to have that ability.

This picture raises many questions for me. What is the mechanic looking at? What is he thinking? I second that JD Dune's picture "evokes emotion". True art. B&W works well.

Great picture. I love the tonal range of the shot. I was wondering how it was printed. Was it a special technique. Or did you test the film...

Any tips?

  I loved your photo.
It gets you thinking.

What type of film did you use.

What paper did you print on.
what grade filter.
