Hi Ellen,
Thanks for the note, and I'm glad you like it! This photo was the last in a series in which I tried different focal lengths, beginning further back with a telephoto and then moving physically close with my wide-angle. The wide-angle perspective - combined with the lights and colors of twilight, and the outstanding clouds - was just what I was looking for. Chicago's reflective Cloud Gate sculpture (known as the Bean) is just so special. If I lived nearby (I'm in California), I'd visit frequently to check out all the amazing possibilities.

Great image! Saw a magazine article with pictures of the bean. Didn't like any as much as this.

This is on my "Shoot it Someday" List (close enough, but Chicago hotels are killer prices!)

I'm a huge fan of all Bean pix, but I think yours is one of the few that presents the top curvature, rather than the lower portions. The twilight colors and reflections makes this one very unique. It's a beaut!
