	The Day Before the Unveiling I raised this monarch from a very tiny larva until it went through its wonderful transformation into a butterfly. I felt like a kid again! It was wonderful!! Elizabeth A. Marker

I looked and looked this summer to raise one also and had no luck.
I love that you can see the wings just waiting to be set free. How lucky you are to do this. Wonderful capture.

I planted a butterfly garden with plants that attract certain types of butterflies.I had black swallowtail, monarch and other catepillars. Only one swallowtail & one monarch stuck around for the transformation.

Milkweed attracks Monarchs. Dill and curly parsley attract black swallowtails.

This bejeweled crysallis can only be described as miraculous...as is everything that Mother Nature invents.

I spent the entire summer searching milkweed patches for caterpillars and crysallises. Nada! Oh...I could lots of stories about my failed journeys into butterfly husbandry...your success is the object of my envy!
