	Dev Prayag Devprayag is the point where the Bhagirathi River and the Alaknanda River join to form the Ganges river.Before this point, Bhagirathi is considered Ganga.It is one of the five sacred confluences in the hills and is an important place of pilgrimage for devout Hindus.Devaprayag stands at an elevation of 2265 ft.on the side of a hill which rises above it 800 ft.The small town of Devprayag can be said to be a temple town, due to presence of many temples here.
