This one can also be used to load trucks but they use it mostly for sorting the cut logs into chip or saw logs and to bring logs to the landing. This logging operation is a two man crew, father and son. They have been logging all their lives and the boy going full time at age 15.
The logging was to remove the hard-wood trees (Oak and Maple) for replacement with fir trees.

Ron, I hate to see the oaks and maples go too. They are a great support for all kinds of wildlife, where the firs are not. I guess as long as man wants a roof over his head they will keep planting firs.
