By the way Laurence I have a big shell collection too! From many years ago! Most of them were bought in Florida, some of them were found while diving, and others were received as a gift! I'm not pursuing it anymore...not enough hours in a day!!!!

I used to know their latin names but I forgot most of them Laurence...I've been meaning to post some of them as macros but it is a chore to unpack every one of them cos I don't keep them in the open anymore...my little son will break them! LOL!

I can see all mine every time I pass through the corridor to enter my room. I have a huge showcase and they are all there with names, locality where found, depth and some even the person who found them. Its important they be kept in the dark so yours will stay in pristine condition.

Its a juvenile shell by the looks of it. Adult ones tend to loose the spire.
