I LOVE the use of SC in this shot! And the vignette as well! Just absolutely adorable Tony! I am unsure about the tilt...SHE is straight now, and I sort of like the mood with the background off kilter, but I still do notice it... hmmm - just a wild though, but what about cloning out the tree and back fence all together, so it is just grass? See what the others say! But the girl - perfect!!

The SC is so cute for this image....love the pose too! She must have been wearing tights, but I would still desaturate the leg to make it match her arms. As for the tilt....wonder what it looks like if you make everything straight???? Curious to see. Perfect title by the way! :~)

Thank you both for the compliments...i am very fond of this image and was disapointed that it got passed up for an EP so I wanted to see what you guys could bring to the table to make it better, I will try it straight and I like that idea of desaturating the leg Aimee..it was the only part of the image that I wasn't sure about...I don't know if I want to take the time to try to clone all that bg stuff out Deb, would like some other opinions about it first..

I too think this is a great shot...I can tell she was running so nice action capture. The slant is ok with me but I think if you cropped out the house in the bg it might help. This might also look good with just the flower and her bows colored.

Such an original shot, Tony. Love the sc and the vignette. Think it works well with the mood you've created here. Because of the mood and the motion, I am not overly concerned about the extreme tilt of the background fence but would like to see it straightened a bit if you decide to tackle that.

So Sweet. What a great mood shot. The SC really works well here. I do not mind the tilt but I do agree with Vicki about the roof.

tony, I love the SC - particularly the color you used. her pose is adorable and very free feeling. the background doesn't work for me. the fence and building clutter it up and i'm not big on the tilt.

sorry!!! but remember, i'm normally over the moon over your kid shots ;)

I too LOVE the SC!! It works perfectly on this shot!! The pose is super sweet and I like the vignette as well!! :) The tilt is bothering me...I think I would take the cloning route even though it will be a lot...it would eliminate all distractions and the eye would go right to the little girl. Love this shot though!! :)

Neat shot with a unique POV and perspective. I don't think it works with everything cloned out as the tilt is part of the shot. The only part of the BG that bothers me is the houses on the other side of the fence. I might use the bg trees as a source and clone the houses out. I definitely agree with the suggestion to make the legs match the arms. This may be a little too unconventional for the judges but I would keep it in my gallery whether it was tagged or not.

This is a really neat shot, Tony. I like having the b/g, but think if you straightened a touch and cropped down to the top of the fence it would make the b/g less distracting. Definitely agree with desat'ing the legs/shoes. Other thing, and maybe it's just me, but her face is so dark on my monitor it looks kind of distorted. Maybe you could select just that and lighten the dark patches on there to get a bit more definition. If the judges don't like it - who cares, this is a great shot.

i agree with the pose and the SC and the vignette. I think the bg is what throws it. I would love to see it as all grass but I know that would be a challenge

I agree the legs should match the arms. the tilt is ok with me, but the house is not. I would love to see all grass but leave the tree. Its a very lovely picture
