Another BP member asked that same thing. Sometimes people are confused that this might be the Narrows but it is actually the left fork of North Creek. That is where you'll find the Subway and many other photogenic scenes. That is a 9 mile round trip that takes up most of the day. You can either hike down in there, well down then up or if you're brave you can repel down in there and see more of the canyon. I have not repeled down in there but it's on the list of things for me to do before I die. You might think the strenuous 4 1/2 mile trip to get there is too much but I see a lot of people there even the out of shape folks too. It's a crowded place even for a permit hike. I raced there once and only had about 5 minutes to myself there but you can still get great shots there when the small crowd is there. There are 3 heavily published photographic compositions in the subway making it really worth the trip.
