Blue Flow

	Blue Flow Re-edited. 02/02/09, Ajisu, Yamaguchi, Japan.The evening before this was taken, I read a professional's advice that one should take one's camera everywhere. So, the next morning, on my way out to school, I threw my camera in the car. Was at a junior high that day and had more free time than usual, so ventured into the school yard, which, actually looked rather bare and uninviting. But a cocky bird did some posing and it seems the light was just right to catch some macros on this tree--and all in all, by sheer chance, the 20 odd minutes of snapping here and there yielded results as good as whole days I've spent elsewhere. So, I'm a believer. You never know when the light will be just right in a certain place, even in the middle of the day, and you never know when a cocky bird will decide to pose! Luckily, I was using my Canon 100-400L and could switch between close up and telephoto for the bird! Susan Jane Allen
