On the Bridge


	On the Bridge I thought this was a cool sight yesterday. Shot through the windshield while traveling about 70 mph. Unfortunately there's motion blur, but I was pleased to get the truck right in the center of the frame, with an almost perfectly symmetrical design around it-- no cropping or rotating! Yes, I was driving--with both hands on the wheel, I held the camera in my teeth and pressed the shutter button with my eyelashes. What a photographer won't do to get the shot! (Don't even try to visualize it--it's as impossible as it sounds, LOL)

A fantastic image Colleen. I drove over a very similar bridge yesterday and thought how great it would be to capture it but as I was on my own I didn't try. Now I'll know in future - extra mascara to strengthen my eyelashes for the shutter button!

Allen, it's actually the Richmond bridge, going east.

Alex, you know I was kidding about driving while shooting, right? ;) I'm a pretty good driver, but way too clumsy with the camera to do both at once! lol

Beautiful symmetry and lines Colleen and so artistic in B&W! There is an old bridge similar to this near Tallahassee where we went camping and I wanted to go shoot it. Howeve, when I asked how far it was and they told me an hour, I didn't think we had time, and I was right. Time we got packed and home, it was late New Year's Eve. Now I wish more than ever that we could have made it although there was only me to drive, and I don't think my eyelashes are strong enough to snap the image, although I admit I haven't tried that yet!
