Oh Chris. I am so sorry you lost your sweet baby. I came by your gallery to thank you for coming to mine and I find this.

Just this morning I was reading a verse, in my favorite book, referring to Animals being in heaven! Rev 5:13. It's a real comfort to know that animals are truly in heaven. I just pray they ALL get to be there since they bring us so much balance and love and joy here on Earth. I know Calico had the best life possible being in your loving home. You are a wonderful person and this is a beautiful tribute to her. Thanks for sharing this and your loss with us. -Laura

Thanks a lot Gail & Laura. Her sister, Denim is still looking for her, she has Mildred for company but she said it's just not the same. Calico was the boss of Denim & now she has no one to keep her in line.

Chris, I hesitated before clicking on this photo, knowing it would lead to tears ... but wanted to tell you what a lovely cat Calico was.
I hope our shy Persian, Shadow, who passed away last December, helped Calico across the Rainbow Bridge... What a collection of beloved companions are waiting for us!

She looks very tired like she's lived a long and busy life and just wants to sleep forever. Calico, will be in a special, secure place, in the golden, warm light where everything in peaceful and comfortable.
And, you will carry her memory in your heart as I have carried my beloved friends in my heart, forever.

It's been 6 years since my beloved Becca died, and I still hear her whimpering at the door or wanting to come into bed with me. Her spirit is still with me.
