Hi Mary. Thank you for your comment.
I saw that you love nature and especially animals. That's a caracteristic of a humanistic soul.
If I haven't done it before, I would like to share this with you:
LANDS AND CULTURES, INC.

“Trading Guns for Guitars”

Lands and Cultures Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the advance of the Arts as a path to sustainable and peaceful progress in the developing world, by providing innovative and accessible opportunities for appreciation, education and participation in the arts.
We provide artists, schools, cultural organizations, and community centers in the developing world funds for artistic projects, technical support, art equipment, workshops and other training opportunities.
Lands and Cultures, Inc. sponsors through-art-reinsertion programs in countries at war, especially for child soldiers.
We raise funds and collect art equipment from individuals, organizations through regular donation or cultural events throughout the year.
The Trade Guns for Guitars annual Festival, the primary fundraiser and art equipment drive of Lands and Cultures, Inc. is a magnificent one-weekend event that features international and U.S. musicians, photographers, moviemakers etc…
The 2004 edition is set to take place this summer, in the Washington Dc area.

Lands and Cultures, Inc. strongly believes there is a correlation between the extent to which a community cultivates the arts and its ability to sustain a peaceful and inspiring development.

We provide people in developing countries food for thought rather than food rations.
We give people a chance to picture, sing, or write their future with a camera, a guitar, or a pen.

Our Mission:
To assist communities of the developing world in the fields of arts, culture, and education.

Our Goal:
-An educated public that will contribute to the global debate by enriching its own traditional culture.

-A public that will proudly defend its culture from cultural globalization and work toward the creation of a more positive future.

-Future cultural actors that will amplify values-based messages of generosity, kindness, and peacefulness, as well as emphasizing the value of life regardless of race, religion, and gender

Join US NOW! Your time, the old camera, guitar, sound system, or keyboard you are about to trash can make a difference!!!
