Action shots

Hey everyone I got a quick question. I am going to a big track meet this weekend and I am wanting to get some shots of people running where the background is blurred and the person seems to be still.....I dunno how to explain it anyother way...sorry. But yea, if anyone could give me some advice on how to shoot something like that it'd be great. I am shooting with a Pentax ME Super. Get back to me when you get a chance, thanks!

I just read your question and hope this is not too late. There is an article in the NYIP web site about taking skiiing and snowboarding pictures. About half way down, there is a technique called "panning motion". I think this is what you want to look. If not, let us know. Hope this helps.

Matt Vogt   Hey thanks! Do you have the address for that site? It's not to late, the track meet is on the 18th so I still have time. Thanks again

MY SON IS IN TRACK AND I FOUND THAT IF YOU FIND A SPOT ON THE TRACK FOCUS ON THAT SPOT AND LET THEM RUN IN TO IT. THIS SEEMS TO WORK WELL FOR ME.
