Photography Question

Quantaray Lens

I have a Quantary 28-90 aspherical lens with Macro Mode attached to a Nikon N75. I have had this camera for about 5 months now and for some reason my lens will not switch to the Macro mode. According to the instructions for the lens, the highest zoom setting (90)needs to be aligned with the depth of field scale marking for me to adjust the macro mode switch. The 90 is not completely lining up with the scale marking and I can not switch to macro mode. Can you tell me what I need to do to fix this.

Thank you

Just now stopped going to macro, or never tried it before and you can't get it to switch?
The marking may not be exact, so see if you can switch it with the 90 anywhere close to the marking.

I have used macro before, just not lately. And I have tried moving the 90 other places just in case, but it still will not switch to macro.

Sounds like something inside isn't screwed down tight enough and has loosened to where it's not alligned properly.
Still should be under warranty so you should be able to get it fixed for free. Or at least for shipping cost if you have to send it somewhere.
