Release Forms for Pet Photography?

Hi,

I pet sit and love animals. I am also an amature photographer. My skills are being honed all the time since I started pet sitting. Eventually I would like to sell my images, or publish my own book for other pet lovers. n the meantime, I want to start collecting release forms from my clients.

In the position that you're in Jette, you could sell the pictures to the people for whom you pet sit. Maybe put together a book of 12 photos or so.

As far as a book, with the software available today (i.e. Photoshop, In design, etc.) you can self-publish. Many photographers are self-publishing these days.

Good luck!

Sometimes I try to say/ask too many things at one time, and therefore confuse my question.

So, If you don't mind I would like to rephrase what it is I really need. What I want is a copy of release form that I can ask the pet owner to sign, that will allow me unlimited rights to use, or change for artistic purposes the photographs of their pets.

  Tony,

That form was exactly what I needed. Just one or two tweaks, and it suited my needs perfectly. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner with my gratitude.

Things in "computerland" have been causing me grief lately. Time to go shopping!!! I have been putting it off for three years now.

Thanks Again,
Jette

  Hi Fawn,

I don't know why you would need to have a file # unless it helps with your own filing system. I don't use one. I file my contracts Alpabetically, but that is just a personal choice. I didn't see an e-mail address for you or I would mail you a sample of the contract I use. I looked at several contracts, and tailor-made mine to fit my purpose. It is more important to spell out the details of the exchange. what they get, and what you get. I also recommend getting the contract signed prior to taking photos, so there are no misunderstanding of your services. I hope this answers your question.

Good Luck,
Jette
