My new Mamyia RZ67 Pro II

I took my first MF shots this weekend.

Of course, I had a paid gig, and the damn thing wouldn't work. Lucky I have back up everything. Anyway, I got it home and found the problem - small issue, the back was not locked tightly.

Anyway, I shot off a roll of 10 on 120 film. I will get them back this week.

I bought my RX67 used so I really wanted to make sure that everything is okay (no light leaks, no strange dots, no streaks, no anything but perfection). I'll find out soon.

But, does anyone have an answer to my actual question? That is, I thought I could manually lock up the mirror. But, in reading the manual I downloaded from the Mamiya website, it said that the only way to lock up the mirror is by using a cable release.

I didn't buy the cable release with the lock up mirror part because I thought I'd be able to lock-up manually, then snap the shutter with the cable release.

Most my pic's are portraits, so it's not a big issue, but nevertheless, I was doing close ups of my hibiscus, and noticed that the mirror really moves on the RZ.

Thanks,
Jerry
