Photography Question

WHAT'S A GOOD, INEXPENSIVE POINT 'N SHOOT???

My mother wants to purchase, for Christmas, a basic, inexpensive point 'n shoot for my sister.

My sister is not, repeat NOT, a photographer. However, she does take alot of photos of her daughter and needs a camera that is easy and portable.

My digital is way beyond my sister's needs (Fuji Finepix S602), so any advice you folks can provide is greatly appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Look at reviews on this site for the Olympus Stylus with the 35-mm 2.8 lens. It's only about $80 brand new.

If your looking for a cheap, but good point and shoot, I would highly recomend a canon sureshot. I had one a last year, and it took great shots. I recently gave it to a friend, and it is still working great for him. It is reliable, cheap (120-140 canadian) and it has a nice little zoom of 76mm along with several easy to use features. I f you want to fork out a little more cash, I would recomend the Fujinon 1300, with a 130mm zoom and various features. It is superior to any other point and shoot currently available.
