Photography Question

Lisa N. Hermes

Help please?

I am trying to help my friend find information on what the best way for her to photograph the birth of a baby using only candlelight as light source (night time, and black and white film). Any ideas? Best film speed, etc.? Is it possible? Any alternatives that might work? I strictly shoot outdoors in daylight, so I am not much help here. Thanks so much. Lisa

I don't know what kind of equipment you are going to use, but in B&W film I would go with Tmax 3200 and if you are developing your own I would push it up to 6400 ASA or even up to 12000 ASA. Make tests under same conditions.
