Michael Kaplan   They have a very bad rating.
I suggest you look at the reseller ratings here:

Also you could do a search on sites like dpreview forums or other photo sites for any online company you may want to purchase from.

Well Michael, with all due respect, ratings are written by human beings and the person who wrote the review on B&H obviously had a bad experience. I have been using B&H for many years, as have every school where I teach with absolutely no problems, fast service, and knowledgeable, no non sense phone and instore staff. In the unlikely event that B&H didn't have what I/we needed, Adorama fortunately did have the product. I would rate Adorama a couple of notches lower than B&H because the sales person on two occasions took the opportunity to try to push other products on me while on the call.

Sincerely,
Tony Sweet

Michael Kaplan   You may have misunderstood... The bad rating remark was not for B&H. I have bought from them and they are excellent. It was for Vroadway Photo which from all that I have read are bait & switch sellers that own a few different companies under different names to try and scam people out of their hard earned money.

That is also why I mention to see sites like DPReview as you can get a lot of opinion just by doing a search dor the store name as I did to attain the info on Broadway.
Even the best store could have someone that was unhappy. It is of valuse to see how many good/bad ratings and where the problems lie.

oooops, it appears that I did definitely misunderstand. My mistake, Michael. And I agree that Broadway Photo is definitely a bait and switch, as is Cambridge and numerous other NYcamera "dealers." Again, my apologies.
