Film

What brand of film is the best to use all around. I don't like Fuji film, but I do like Kodak and AGFA. Does AGFA have an advanced film like Kodak has the professional film? Or do they just have the basic 100, 200, and 400?

There is no "best" film. It will always depend on what you need. What kinda of pictures do you take? The brand of film you use is more of a personal taste. Some like Fuji, Agfa or Kodak. To find out what film you like shoot with all 3 brands of film with the same speed (eg get ISO 100 for Fuji, Kodak and Agfa) and shoot in the same conditions and get them processed at the same place (I found that different places have different quality prints) and see which one you like better.
As for the types of film... all film have the "professional" type. Have a look at their sites: Fuji, Kodak, and Agfa.

As a hint for selecting film speed:
ISO 100 - Bright sunny or well lit places. Also good for still life and landscape, and if you have an SLR great for night times as the colours come out so much nicer. Nice fine grain (though not as fine as other slower film)

ISO 200 - All rounder film... but since its an all rounder, its only mediocre in any situation. (a bit grainier than ISO 100)

ISO 400 - Good for low lit environments and reasonable for action and moving shots. Again, a bit more grainier than ISO 200... (cont.)

ISO 800 - Good for low lit and fast action shots. I don't like to use this too often (I like taking landscape and still life and nature shots) as it is quite grainy. But if you want to take pics of wildlife (birds and such) then this is the way to go.

Hope that helped somewhat.
