How to seperate photos that got wet and stuck toge I have some older photos that were exposed to a water leak and are now stuck together. How should I attempt to separate them?

Dear Larry: Tell us more. Are these old color photos or old black and white photos? Can you estimate fairly accurately their age? Was it clean water or waste water, and did it leave any kind of residue, mineral or otherwise, on the prints?

Dear Larry: Hmmm...prognosis not promising. If these are color prints made on standard color printing paper using the chemicals typical for the RA-4 process, and the prints have not been coated, laminated, or otherwise sealed against environmental hazards, I have my doubts they can be separated without at least damaging some of them. The places on each print that are now adhering to other prints are likely damaged to the degree that the original image is permanently obscured. If you had mentioned these were prints on resin coated paper, reimmersing them in clean water might successfully separate them with mimimal damage. You may need to seek out the negatives for these prints and go the reprint route...
