How to replace 35mm film camera with a digital SLR I am an optometrist and use a retinal camera which is a large optical instrument for taking retinal photos and has a 35mm SLR film camera back ie the entire instrument is effectively the lens.We are looking into replacing the camera with a digital SLR.As digital SLR CCDs are smaller than 35mm film I guess I will need to use a teleconverter to reduce the image size.Is this correct or could extension tubes be used?
