Zooming Special Effects Technique I have messed around with zooming when my shutter is open with mixed results. Is it necessary to use a tripod? Is a shutter speed of 1/60th sec about right? Is it best to zoom in or out during the exposure? How should I position the subject in the viewfinder before I release the shutter? Does this technique work well for neon lighting signs? What is a good range to zoom through i.e. 35-70mm? Thanks.
