Hi I would like to know that whether there will be some quality difference in photographs if I take snaps from Yashica SLR or Nikon SLR ? I shoot both on slides and on bromides. Iwish to purchase Nikon F3 or N80 but I wonder whether it will make any tangible difference in the photo quality . I will have to spnd a lot of bucks but if the photos are similar it wll be just a waste. I just want quaity, sharpness and color in photographs just like the photos being published in magzines. Features in camera are secondry things I am submitting 2 photographs taken by my Yashica FX3 Super 2000 Thanks in advance

The main determining factor in image quality (beyond the skill and knowledge of the photographer) is the quality of your lens. A camera is just a light tight box on which to mount the lens. It's the glass that makes the difference. I'm not familiar with Yashica so I don't really know what quality of lenses you can get for it. Nikon does make excellent lenses.

Hi, I have been using "YashicaFX3 Super2000" for the past over 10years and I have been consistantly getting the best results I want. I think the price of the camera depends on the features they provide and what is important is the talent of the person behind the camera. ISP

The answer is, both brands are capable of equivalent quality. I own both so I should know. Some, but not all Yashica ML manual-focus lenses are every bit as good as Nikon's while the Yashica body will also mount the excellent Contax-Zeiss lenses. So it's a standoff.
