upgrading digital camera I sell a lot on ebay and need a good quality, clear image. It is a jungle out there so any advise you can give would be appreciated. I would like to spend around 250.00. We are planning a trip to Alaska this summer so I would like something I could use there also.

Gail, For $250 you won't find much more than what you already have in digital land. If you must stay with digital, I suggest you move up to at least a 3-megapixel camera with less shutter lag time than the Oly you're using. Unfortunately, you're looking at $400 minimally -- even for a used camera. Olympus does have some good deals out there right now on discontinued models. I just sold my C3000 for $300 on eBay. The C700 appears to be a very popular model as well. Check Amazon marketplace for used cameras also. I always feel safer dealing with people through Amazon than thru ebay. I believe Amazon will refund your money if the seller screws you in any way. Ebay doesn't give a flying flip, and they charge an arm and a leg in misc. fees. That said, you could spend the $400 on a mid-line 35mm SLR package and get waaaaaay more quality than any digital in the same price range.

Gail, If you want a good digital for ebay I suggest the Casio QV-8000. This camera is no longer in production so you'll have to find one on ebay just don't buy one that has a broken battery cover. This camera has a macro focus mode and you can also vary the intesity of the flash which helps so you don't blow out all the details on your item. I've been using this camera for 2 years for ebay and other image taking and I love it. I just wish for things other than ebay it had higher resolution (its only a 1.3 mp) but I've made very good 5x7s from it and sometimes larger. Deb
