Shooting infrared photos I'd like some tips for daytime infrared photos. I have an irfrared filter & a Sony f717 digital. So far my pics don't have that "other worldly" appearance that some othet ir photos I've seen have. Perhaps I need to choose my subject matter better?

Jim, I've just started digital infrared myself, but here's a link to a good explanation of how it works: http://dpfwiw.com/ir.htm#87x. I just learned that there are two type of IR filters; one lets it in, the other keeps it out. That might be a good place to start. Asa
