Shooting Stars at Night Sir I have recently bought a brand new Canon EOS Elan 7E and now I want to shoot star trails at night. I have a new Canon 28-80mm f3.5 lens, but it has no focus distance scale on the lens focus ring. At night I need to focus to infinity and with auto focus or manual focus its kind of difficult to see anything through the viewfinder to focus. What I did is autofocus indoors to a point that I think would be seen as infinity to the lens and then set the focus selector to manual focus to lock the focus at that setting and then take the picture. I did one last night and I exposed FujiChrome Sensia 100 at f3.5 for 30 seconds. I don't know what it we look like, but if you have any advice, I would appreciate it. I live in a very wooded area away from major city lights and the stars are bright at night (when its not cloudy) Thanks. Pieter Roelofse
