Scoring

I just rejoined BetterPhoto after being away for several years. I see I have a score. How is this determined and what does it mean?

I believe that the working of the scoring system at BP is yet to be provided/explained by BP. I would also be interested to know, thanks for asking.

Usman.

I'm with Usman...there's no published description although Jim M talked about it a few years ago in one of his videos when describing the new site. It's somehow related to the number of "likes" you do on other photos, or comments, etc. In all reality, it doesn't mean much except some people like to have a high score...which means they'll "like" BP photos a lot, which is good for BP from a marketing point of view. But it has no bearing on whether your photos will get an EP, Staff Fav, Finalist, or Gold Medal.

Where do you find your score at?

Sherry, when you are logged in, you see the "pancakes" (three horizontal white lines) in the upper left corner of the screen. Click on the pancakes, and you'll see your name, and below it will be your number of photos, your subscription level, and your score.
