Choice of Canon Prime Lens for Portraits

I've been analyzing prime lenses to determine which Canon prime lens would best be appropriate for my Canon EOS 1N for quality portrait images. I've read many postings and visited various websites. I am experiencing sleepness nights in trying to decide between the 85/f1.8, 100/f2 and the 100/f2.8 Macro. I am interseted in both head shots and shoulder shots with one or more subjects. Can anyone sway me over to one of these lenses?....Thanks

85mm f1.8. (that's a period btw). It's a very sharp lens, it's suitable for head shots to full body shots with little effort, and it's cheap. I own nothing but L series lenses....with the exception of the 85mm and I use the 85mm for a majority of my portraits. Granted, I have never used the other lenses you mention but I don't think you would be at all disatisfied with the 85mm.
